TITLE: Sales Support Manager / Business Support Manager

PACKAGE: £35K Basic, pension, 25 days holiday

LOCATION: Staffordshire / West Midlands (office-based role)

Our client is a leading UK manufacturer with a long history of designing and manufacturing high quality products for the DIY and building industries. Having won multiple awards for both customer service and employee development they are now looking to strengthen their sales support team with the appointment of a new Business Support Manager.

The Sales Support Manager / Business Support Manager role is a brand new role that has been introduced to help transform the sales support function. It is a dynamic, proactive and vital part of our client’s business structure, supporting the field based sales team to deliver long term sales growth. The role will see you in constant contact with colleagues and customers, taking responsibility for:
-Creating and delivering a business sales support plan in conjunction with the sales management team
-Leading process change within the Salesforce CRM system to maximise efficiency, generate key reports and make recommendations.
-Leadership of a team of 3 internal sales support staff, with a potential to grow.
-Taking a proactive approach to supporting and driving sales by maintaining strong personal relationships across the business and setting high operating standards.
-In summary: adding measurable value to our client’s customers, business and ultimately sales growth.

For the Business Support Manager role no specific industry experience is needed, but our client is looking for:
-A track record of successful internal sales team leadership in a structured environment (e.g. internal sales manager, sales team leader, office based sales etc.).
-An expert in Salesforce, or a similar CRM system
-Strong organisation and delivery skills.
-Experience and confidence in implementing new strategies and gaining team buy-in.
-Clear professional communication and presentation skills.
